Heartbreaking...but so true. This does bring tears as not only do they suffer..so do the families. Once again Dear Bonnie, you have written words of emotions and concern for others
Very powerfully penned, my friend; thanks for pointing this one out to me. I saw far too many faces just like that one, and heard far too many ignorant people, when I worked for our government. God Bless these valiant veterans, indeed.
Some people are to blind to see the beauty, and the bravery of the real heros, not the ones portrayed on the media, we need to see the faces of the heros, and thank them for all they have done. Bonnie this definitely got me to thinking on how we react to others

NO matter how we wish things would change the sad truth is there will always be people who do not think before they speak and who are ignorant as to the sacrifices others make on their behalf...
This dear lady, is just plain EXCELLENT, full of compassion & sincerity, something that other, probably young woman, wouldn't understand...you are tops in my book & I am sure, the book of God...ed
What a powerful poem my friend, touching, profound, and one that everyone should read! How blessed we are and fortunate to have those soldiers who are fighting for our freedom, our lives with their lives. Powerful final lines, very fitting indeed! Well done dear poet!
Blessings,
Joyce B.
You really touched my heart with this write Bonnie. You tapped the woman on the shoulder; I would have been tempted to slap her silly and I'm anti-violence. This is a significant poem with a strong message. They all don't have to be about moonlight and roses.
Hugs,
Marcia
Our valient Veterans should lack for nothing. They signed their name, giving up everything, up to and including their lives, for our government, serving so others can enjoy the freedoms we enjoy today. They went, so others didn't have to. How dare some protest their service: let THEM go in our soldiers' stead. No, they'd probably join up with the enemy. GRRRRR This is a sore subject with me, how our Veterans are treated. Shame. Painfully, powerfully penned reminder, Bonnie, very well done.

Cried on this one - so extremely sad . . . you have penned this from the heart, I know that, and it is a very moving, powerful write. Thank you for this!
Bless you, Bonnie. Would that the government would show as much
concern and gratitude as you do for the walking wounded who return
to us from war. -gene.
Oh my gosh...did I feel the tears fill up and I just hurt so much... I truly HATE it when people do these thoughtless things....it is so unkind...and today I heard on TV where more SUICIDES by our SOLDIERS are being reported than ever before in history!!!! What is that all about??? It just breaks my heart... They do so much for this country...and are so often disregarded...so big deal...she couldn't eat...she probably needed to skip a meal...and be so thankful that she could afford to buy food...and live in this great nation....oh cheez... Bonnie... you are everywhere aren't you? God keep you safe and let the words keep flowing!! hugs, lindalaw
God bless you, (((Dear Heart))); I am sure you made that soldier's day! I don't care how disabled or maimed they are: they are HUMAN BEINGS, and they deserve to be treated as such! Thank you for standing up for him; more people need to do the same! God bless that man, and ALL of our military men AND women from ALL wars!! They deserve our compassion and support!!
