Bonnie, my heart goes out to you and your granddaughter -- the words to this very beautiful song come immediately to mind -- "Anchored in Love" by A. P. Carter --"I found a sweet haven of sunshine at last - Jesus abiding above --His dear arms around me are lovingly cast - Sweetly he tells His love - The tempest is o'er - (The danger, the tempest forever is o'er) - I'm safe ever more -- (My anchor is holding, I'm safe ever more ) - What gladness, what rapture is mine -The danger is past - (The water is peaceful,the danger is past) - I'm anchored in love divine - His blood shall control me through life and in death - Completely I'll trust to the end - I'll praise Him each hour of my last fleeting breath - Sing of my soul's best friend - The tempest is o'er -- Bonnie, these powerful words are inspiring to everyone -- I have not written down all of the lyrics, but enough for you to get the essence of the song -- I hope you find comfort in them and can pass them on to your granddaughter -- my love and best wishes for you and your granddaughter -- your friend -- JMW

I shall pray very hard Bonnie...
Let go....if only for awhile....you cannot make her do what you know is best for her...she has to be ready on her own... We learned that ourselves in time... just be there to hold her when she falls and love her more than ever...and who knows....God is carrying her right now... Trust Him. hugs, lindalaw

Prayers, yes, how could one say no to that request, prayers will be.
Although, from experience, one can lead the horse to the water, but make it to drink is another can of beans.
Distraught people need to have the will to go with the blessings and not let defeatist feelings to take the overhand.

I came on AD tonight to "quick read some of Bonnie's" and I'm so glad I did. I feel your pain as you long for this dear grandchild to come back to the Lord, back to your arms and to the good life that is available to her. Take comfort in knowing that He is grieving, too, and He loves her far more than you can imagine.
In spite of appearances, God is working in her heart right now, and He will not forsake her. I will be lifting her to God in prayer, and also praying for you, that you will be able to trust Him, and place her in His care. Love, Connie p.s. I feel the words of this poem...Raising children definitely isn't for the faint of heart! If only...if only teenagers could see the pain their actions cause, could see the love that those they turn away from want to give...if only, if only, if only...
