Simple Simon met a pie man going to the fair.

Little Miss Muffet sat on her tuffet. Well, I guess she forgot to beware.

I heard Jack was nimble and Jack was quick,  Now I’d like to see him jump this candle stick.

How convenient for Mother Goose to have retired long ago.

The nursery rhymes don’t help you when you’re grown.

Real world, help me…can’t you see I’m scared?

My baby left me.  I could have sworn he cared.

Real world, where’s my prince, my knight in shining armor

Who has pledged to make my dreams come true ?

Arthur was a legend and wise Merlin, he was too.

Gwenevere sinned with Lance, but what else could the lovers do?

The golden days of Camelot have vanished with the time

But then again, they never did exist outside the mind.

Real world, help me…can’t you see I’m scared?

My baby left me.  I could have sworn he cared.

Happily ever after was the ending I trained for.

Suddenly dragons loom in my way and now I’m not so sure.

Good Prince Valiant may not be the hero we’re supposed to see

But maybe it’s time that hero came alive inside of me.
