Guarded Thoughts
The street light flickers—
like a lighting bug in a damp forest.
Each foot-step is crisp
in a different direction
My mind wanders—
to you
and buildings stand like infinite soldiers.
Saluting—
casual lies
comfort distant memories
and I finally see
the connotation of it all.

Says so much to me. I equate the building to be the walls we put up
yet these building block others from seeing within as well as us seeing out.
This one is a real thinker Tracey
