And the call goes out down the line
looking for someone who will be mine.
And the call goes out on down the road
looking for someone to share this load.
Driving on in endless lines of time
echoing into the future as tires rhyme.
Interstate beckoning though she's no lover
that asphalt ghost beneath night's dark cover.
Diesel whines - static sings across the radio
Each bleary mile reminds I've a ways to go.
Solitary driver looking for someone else
to share this road with me and myself.
Radio check on this thing called life...
Is there anyone out there? Should I try...
Yes, I'll call again down this line
looking for someone to pass the time.
Static is all that the Cobra will hiss
reminding me of all that I miss.
Yellow lines dance on and on.
Interstate miles will soon be done.
And the call goes out down the line
looking for someone who will be mine.
And the call goes out on down the road
looking for someone to share this load.

Great tribute to those that 'carry our loads'.
