Just as the darkness was its greatest
and the pain could be no more...
A light found a safe passage
through the thickest of hell’s door.

I had thought that all was lost
and that a spade was just a spade.
I had forgotten about happiness...
Only the bitterness it had made.

Even in the darkest of nights hours,
there are flowers that thrive and bloom
because they’d not given up on life
and sought comfort in the moon.

So, as they face their paler sun,
I, too, shall rise and face mine yet
standing through the winds of change
and through the tears of past regret.

I was found through circumstance
and lifted...if by nothing else...by fate
even if only a reminder that life is life
and that we should not always wait.

For what does wishing life away achieve
other than wasted hours and graying hair?
Why do we search and search in vain
only to find it already existed here?

There is a great truth in your message. We spend so much time wishing on tomorrow, Regretting yesterday, And not living for the moment. These words could be of great use to alot of us if we could only abide by them, God Bless

Magnificent write and one to be so proud of as it makes a life statement that says so much. We do waste far too much of our lifes regretting, hating, angry, and resentful when we should be makin love.
