Everyone tells me to smile
and that I've such a beautiful heart.
But I think that it's a broken
and totally useless part.
How can I be so easily cast away
when so many say I'm wonderful?
They say someone would be lucky to have me
...then why give me pain unimaginable?
I've tried to figure this all out
and try to figure how hearts work.
Because mine seems like a divining rod
and can locate any hidden jerk.
Every night, I write of my pain
to purge it from muse's mind.
Sometimes I feel as though I'm writing devil's contract
and will lose my soul when poem's signed.
I plead to world and to God
to cease this pain - I'm not strong enough to bear
the weight of the world upon me
and cannot love what just is not there.

I bet you know some bloke you have the hots for. Like at church or at work.. Blimey just go be friends and let nature take its course. But have your eyes wide open. Maybe if not him one of his mates might take your delight. But never sell off cheap. I did that once, still paying the price. Too many decent blokes are missed cos by the time they work up the courage to face rejection some low life has her..
Oh Lori, I felt like I was in the room with you and you were talking to me of this pain that weighs so heavy on your heart. If I were like a friend I would take you in my arms, brush away your teardrops and tell you that things will be all right. However as this is not possible I hope you trust in your friends and know that things will get better in time.

As I said before, we all really live in this world alone, whether attached or not, and soul searching can just make matters worse !
What is needed, and what is of paramount importance, is that you draw closer to God, sometimes, more often than not, there is a part of us that is holding out from the Redeemer, find that vital part, and relinquish it, once and for all into his merciful and compassionate hands !
When you do, you will see the error of your ways, and get instant relief, comfort and divine guidance from his heavenly hand !
