Just a quick poem that wrote itself in under two minutes. Please do not worry that this is a reflection of any truth - it is soley a work of fiction that has good rhythm :)

I am haunted by Memory's ghost
a beast in black robes and chains.
He flashes a smile and flashes a daggar.
By my side, that Beast remains.

I murdered Memory so long ago.
I drank till he breathed no more.
And at Eulogy's confessions,
I fastened a lock on casket's door.

Into darkness, Memory leapt
past river Styx and dreams past gone.
That lonely night so long ago
I danced before Memory's stone.

But, all deeds thrice return
upon the head who cast them out.
Now, rattling bones and jingling chains
are here to remove any doubt

that my deeds have, at last, returned
and smiling with innocent glee...
You'll remember only a suicide
when my Memory has murdered me.
