Love takes on many mantles and the old adage "you never miss the water til . . ." well, you know, is so true and this poem bears that truism out loud and clear. Damn good.

You mesh rhythm and emotion to weave a spell of sacred hallelujahs and yes ma'ams in real time. This poem is one profound pathway into the beautiful yet painful experience that authentic love can bring into even the most protected corners of our lives. As rich as a kingdom out of ancient Africa. I stand and I applaud.
