Straddling a log
at the foot of the sea
sun shinning bright
gentle breeze
it's tingling up my spine
water kissing my knees
today I'm happy
Loooking into the water
I feel at ease
the reflections on the waves
smile back at me
I think she's looking pretty
sweet
cause today I'm happy
Life's hard sometimes
especially when your wings
won't fly
weighing heavy there's so much
shit
on your mind
and to reach the mountain top
you gotta climb
but today I'm happy
Fingertips in the water
I give her a push
and send her off with
much luck
and you across the sea
recieve me and you
pick me up
taking on a task that'll
make you and me
happy
With skillful strokes
of your pencil
you transform space
filling it up with the
reflection that graced
the water that day
and made me just
smile away
I saw it and was happy

You can see that sometimes it is nice to take a little break from the realities of the world. And that is when it makes these kind of poems even more appreciated. You deserve that kind of happiness and no less.
