One real hot summer day
Charley Martin came to my house
And Asked me did I want to go down To the railroad tracks
To see who could walk a rail Further without falling off.
I forget who won but
I remember Sixty years later the glorious smell of The hot Tar melting in the sun.
It makes me smile to this day.
I wish I were there again with
Charley Martin.
