Grandma was a tall statured lady. She lived out in the country. We wore long sleeve shirts and long pants on our days together. The clothing kept us safe from getting bit by chiggers. The kerosene smell, lingered in the air. Big black boots, protected our feet.

On the old dirt road, you could drag your feet. The dust powder flew, on the meadow green. The wooden bridge is where we wanted to be.

From the bridge we could hear the trickle, of the water falling gently on the rocks. The soft bed of pebbles clustered inseperately. Large boulders gave a release of water flow.

After picking the black berries', we took our boots off. Our feet felt the coolness, of the water below. Little brown brim, swam steadily by. Sneaky snake was right behind.
