Love Poem

In My Heart

My love for you will remain whispers in my heart.
No one must know what you mean to me!
Our secrets are buried in the deep of the oceans.
We belong to different worlds, with too much at stake.
I want to give it all up sometimes, just to be close enough to feel your breath again.
Too much at stake! Too much at stake!

Every hour with you speeds like seconds.
“Grab the time and throw it away for good”, I say.
That is my wish, but it cannot be a reality.
My heart races soon as I hear your voice.
I hide the blood rush on my face,
It’s too risky to allow anyone to see!


With everyone in the wide open,
You avoid my eye.
Hiding your sweaty hands in your pocket,
You courageously move through the crowd.
I chuckle silently as I watch you pass by.
Panic beads of sweat trickle down your face,
as you breeze past the big party.

In the morning, you will be gone.
Don’t know when I’ll see you again.
It took decades to see you this time!
Happy you still have the twinkle from decades back!
I love you deeply in my heart, more than words can say.
Shocked you risked all, just to see me.
Happy you still care, but respect we live in separate worlds.
Too much at stake! Too much at stake!
