In silence Lord I say a prayer ,
for the poets who try to share ,

The images within their mews ,
for those who never are amused .

Grant the poet encouragement ,
For all the time and effort spent ,

writing poetry for today ,
It’s their way of life ,
come what may .

There no place for the words not read ,
That run around the poets head .

God where there a will there’s a way ,
Help the poets who write today .
