It must have seemed at that time a bit odd ,

to witness the incarnate son of God,

when he resurrected out of the tomb ,

and walked on the road in the afternoon .

He spoke to people he met on the way ,

and they listened to what he had to say .

Jesus appeared among them in the room ,

where he told them he would be leaving soon,

to his father up in heaven above .

Then upon the wings of a pure white dove ,

God sent them down the comforter and a friend ,

and said he would be with them to the end .

Two thousand years and we cannot forget ,

the risen Lord Jesus is with us yet .

Our only hope is in him , Christ the King .

All praise and glory to him ,let us sing .

By his death and resurrection we see ,

there is no end , just an eternity .
