When he gets up in the morning ,
he begins to roam .
He’s walking with dementia and very far from home .
He’s looking for a car he parked just the other day .
It could be round the corner a million miles away .
Surrounded by emotions of people in his life ,some of them are his children ,
some of them are his wife, some of them he recognizes but can’t remember who ,
he’s never really sure of who he might bump into .
He’s walking with dementia just as the sun goes down and searching for that car he parked on the edge of town .
The night falls down as he is left very far from home .
Walking with dementia .
Somehow he’s not alone .
Thank You For this gem of a write
Sounds like a friend I met 11 years ago
when he seem normal, and watched him fade away from reality
in a few years, now a laghing bed ridden vegetable.....
whose friends of yesterday have forgotten.....
Peace be with you
