Poetry of Pesach ...
Pesach is gone, yet another holy day past.
Shavuos is but weeks away ...
Stay the course as best we can
lest from Torah's path we stray.
Soon arrives Lag B' Omer day,
until which we count in remembrance of those
that even Rebbe Akiva's students forgot to respect
their fellows whom He Himself chose.
Passover has passed ...
four questions asked, our aged lessons retold.
We've learned anew as none before
the bitterness of our slavery of old.
Freedom is what many understand
to be the pursuit of silver and coin.
Let the new morn reveal the emes of real
may my soul to sheker not join.
Arrogance is as the yeast in the dough
during days when to our weakness succumb.
Foreswear fealty to any man
and an eved HaShem become.
