LOVE?? Me??
Naw, it costs too much (pain)
I’m still paying… with tears and lost sleep
For the last time
When I took him for a test drive
And woke up, my hand on the gear shift
And the pink slip in my pocket
You go ahead and dream
About love if it makes you happy
With all the extras
(The speed, the smooth ride)
Barreling down the freeway
Doing ninety-five
Just remember there is no warranty
There is no guarantee
That you won’t be the one
That gets traded in this time
On a newer, sleeker model
Love?
Naw, it costs too much (pride)
Better to just settle
For an occasional ride
