This is my eight year old granddaughter. What more can I say....
She’s eight years old
Going on twenty
Hip hop and eyeliner
Whenever mom isn’t looking
She dances like Brittney
Sings like Gwen
At least in her mind
And grandma is her best audience
I wipe off the makeup
And tell her to take her time
Growing up
She laughs and says she’ll always
Be my little girl
But I’m scared
That she’s growing up too fast
Until she pulls a doll
From behind her back
And proceeds to croon a lullabye
And grandma smiles
Wonderful photo. of your grand-daughter!!!!! They all go through this phase of life. Some go through this stage much earlier in life. Not to worry about it too much!
Ahhh this is wonderful and with two granddaughters of my own already starting to entertain me at only three I know the make up and clothes aren't that too far away for me either but I will remember this write and your wisdom.
