Satirical poem on psychology
The Freudian slip Psychology, the etiology of life Who we are and why All our hopes, loves and strife Where then, does our destiny lie? Observation, meant to see If who we are is real Experiments--to try and meet The idylic, utopian ideal We all demand the reason Our heritage, our source And try to get a leash on Life's varying, unstable course Testing, the causes and effect Of laughter, love and hate Genetics, attempting to select Our destiny or our mate Yet I would hope that we Could gain a healthier grip Lest humanity prove to be A dreadful Freudian slip
