Red States, Blue States more than the Taliban, we turn our hate to picket fences and lullabies: talk show hosts hurl hate speech, interrupting their own fathers and mothers; each is perplexed, angered by ideas, enjoying put-downs, insults, one-liners, spewing hate, calling names and using Nazis, communists, and terrorists as labels; flagellating neighbors, loved ones, and daffodils, as all too yellow for war.
