no dozing now,
not on the downward trip
passing by the big bump
and steering with your tongue
rolling it up in a ball,
stretching to reach
your best, watching
bushes, shrubs and mighty ants
rush by while brother Bob
calls out dinner time
and you better get back
or pops will whip
your ass with that giant
celery stalk he keeps
for crispy moments
when kids in wagons
come home late
to supper.
