dribble shoot dribble shoot
pump it up and sit tight
the season's erupting, the pleasure
dome's pulsating, the zebras
seem hungry for blood, their
whistles gurgling
in throats raw for sacrifice,
no one's watching for mice,
the hoop kingdom grows, eating
its own, slobbering
on pompom girls cheering
like automatons, their
outfits befitting the strip
club down the street, but
no one notices their twirls
or eye-popping belly
buttons, the fans are gorging on
emotion, one dunk at a time.
Brilliantly captured, Larry, I usually don't like basketball, but dang, you make me want to watch the game! Love the lines: you hit a three point on this'un!
