Listen to Your Lover you love coffee shops so you take her there, bringing your laptop too. coffee hot, your lady hot, you bent over the keys clicking some trash. your cell phone rings (you slob) you answer, but your love's in the middle of herstory, herday and you listen to your cell. you see her eyes, but you turn to watch the coffee traffic, cute girls, ordering, playing with their earrings. pay attention, she's leaning closer, saying her life to your life, breathing her pain to your understanding. why do you look away? �

I have had several relationships like this. Luckily I am with a guy who doesn't ignore me, but actually listens to what i say. I hate when the person I'm with does that. Your poem was very well done.

Wake up and smell the coffee (she might just get fed up and leave!) Well done. This poem takes you to a situation of neglect immediately and you just feel what's coming.
