Present Obama the first African American president of the United States of America, is the out-working of Martin Luther King, Jr. dream and our ancestors!
Dr. King had a dream, Obama is
the dream,
And the ddream still lives in us!
All aboard beep, beep, beep,
come ride the Obama bus!
This dream started with Rev. Martin Luther King.
He believed America could live
out her creed.
Black men stand tall heads high stop
living on their knees,
and be uplifted from economic slavery.
Good homes to live in able to
pay your rent,
fair wages justice don't circumvent.
The best of education in this
great land,
not just for blacks only but
every American!
Dr. King's speech "I Have A Dream"
forty seven years ago,
Barrack Obama elected president 2008
proved it so!
The first black African American
in these United States,
confirms peoples' hearts can change
including their fate!
The Inaugural Celebration over
two million strong,
a time etched in history thats
forever prolonged.
People praying, singing, music strummming,some humming,
the "Stars Spanniel Banner", America
stay free,
may God forever keep His eye on thee!
Obama's vision is get up, dust
yourself off,
dream our forefathers dream
dispel the dross.
Black, red, white, and tan, hush
cut out the fuss,
the fare is free come ride the Obama buss!
Like Nelson Mandela's triumph over apartheid in South Africa, Barack Obama's presidency shows that we have come a long way from considering some people as, “property,” while others were considered, “privileged.” There is a groundswell of resentment against what Obama is proposing, but, like the groundswell of the Civil Rights Movement, its time has come and cannot be stopped. “Fairness” is the key word and equality for all must be achieved regardless of moneyed interests trying to keep the status quo with fear and loathing.
