mingled with oak and pine scents.
A chair designed for royalty.
Handed down from our grandparents,
six generation or more have past.
Sealed in the attic ,the throne room
of pleasantries nostalgia!
Memories laced with wine and
stories by the hearth.
Grandpa's fiddle and crispy voice
making mirth and melody.
Mother's smile and warm heart,
apple cider oatmeal cookies.
A purple overcast sky,
a bright orange harvest moon.
I sat in my antique chair,
a treasure chest of stories,
yearning to be told!
