Heaven knew about the first snow,
Wintry mix how it would go,
cold winds their blustery blow!
Sparkling white diamond like snow
Created in pure white beauty,
blanketing trees branches houses,
lampposts', sidewalks, streets below.
Giving hearts life a festive glow,
even above doors love's mistletoe!
It is again Christmas season.
Do you know its origin,
not lore, rhyme nor reason?
In a barn in Jerusalem,
Christ the Savior was born,
honoring him with gifts,
came Eastern kings three,
bending knees to divine majesty!
Sin would forever be banned,
for every child, woman, and man.
Always remember every December,
when you put gifts under the tree,
It wasn't about you nor about me.
Only about Jesus who bleed,
died horribly at Calvary!
Died tor love to save sick souls,
enjoy this Christmas all that it be,
Jesus love you world through eternity!
Basically, snow is just one of the forms of water in nature and is delightful for its properties, particularly its ability to insulate because of the air unit structure of fine crystals in a hexagon pattern that allows so much light through it appears white.
The current Christmas theme did not come from Christ's birth in Bethlehem or wherever. It is doubtful there even was snow. But the tradition came out of northern Europe with many pagan rituals surrounding the winter solstice. Most of those traditions have been molded into what much of the world now considers Christmas.
