How powerful the cross of Calvary is!
Jesus hung on a wooden cross!
He died, rose, resurrected, ascended.
He sits on the right hand of God in heaven!

Untypical hot humid Monday morning,
sky dark gloomy threatening rain,
nearly eighty degrees at 8 AM!
My white Fruit of the loom t-shirt,
sticking to my skin breathing normal,
my strides were those of a turtle.
I was at the Veterans Administration,
for my annual Prostate examination.
My vital signs were perfect,
they even surprise me!
Dangling around my neck,
was a cheap wooden cross,
attached by a flimsily black string.
My doctor said he like the cross.
Jesus Christ and His salvation,
was our conversation of urgency!
We both confessed Jesus Christ,
Savior and Lord of our lives!
Our relationship took a deeper meaning.
No longer doctor and patient but,
Christian brothers in the Lord!
Waiting for the second coming of Christ
and the Mt. of Olives to burst open,
completely, watering, refreshing,
and restoring Jerusalem!
Christ Jesus bringing his,
Christian brothers and sisters home!
Would you believe that conversation,
started because of a wooden dross?
I bought at a Bible store for a dollar
the store no longer exist,
but the cross does!
