America fought the {Brit's) or Britain for their Independence!

July 4th 1776,
we fought the Brit's!
Besty Ross made the flag,
red, white, and blue tri-color mixed!
Taxation without representation,
and freedom was worth fighting for!
The losses were many,
Wow we finally won that war!
Patrick Henry declared,
"Give me liberty or give me death!
The war was a bloody mess,
you were shot or stabbed,
or blown to bits by cannons!
Independence is what we fought,
so many Americans died for!
Families when you bite that hot dog,
enjoy your house its white picket fence,
that tasty homemade apple pie,
explode all those fire crackers,
those were just a few reason why,
We celebrate the Fourth Of July! 
Let us never forget that,
God gave us the victory,
and still here in American,
its people yearn to be free!
