Come and steal away the night
To a magical place, the City of Lights
Neon surrounds us and overloads our senses
Magicians, entertainers, and slot machine dispenses
An adult wonderland with sensory overload
Beckons us to excess towards the desert road
Many who visit claim fortune and fame
But a few leave with only their name
Casinos cater customers with only time
But many propose with only a dime
This city of excess, a testament to greed
Steals dreams from those who wish to succeed
Hotels and theme parks cater to the rich
Forget those who say life’s a bitch
Pretend like the rest that we can win
Riches beyond our dreams in this city of sin
Night and day merge into one
An insidious rush for those to have fun
The American city that defies all odds
Worships concrete, lights, and money as gods
Preys on the foolish who desire instant success
In this city of wonders and tribute to excess
Come and steal away the night
Take the adrenaline rush in the city bright
