In the beginning there was love
Heavenly sent from God above
A man and woman molded from clay
To enjoy God’s world each new day
Sinless at first until they explored
The wonders of fruit that life’s tree bore

Saying no to God has its price
But for not the garden, their would be no sacrifice
Sin makes us imperfect and humble
Those who deny this be wary of your tumble
To err is human, so it is said
Remember the wine and the bread

Between the two gardens lived the prophets of old
Abraham’s legacy handed down we are told
From the house of David is born a Jew
A divine gift links the old with the new
Some doubt the miracle birth
But watching your own gives one mirth

He is the beginning, middle, and end
Crucified for us to pardon our sins
Doubters and believers debate this fact
It takes faith, hope, and courage to act
Upon the assumption that this is true
To do otherwise is up to you
