Pinch me, tell me it’s a dream
For nothing is as it seems
Two people crazy for each other
Reality? No need to bother
Except for your words, white noise abounds
Like subliminal messages on the rebound
Emotions intense and laser-focused
Thoughts race, burning my lemniscus
Seared forever indelibly branded
Two people in love as if stranded
From reality that controls our psyche
Any possible rationality highly unlikely
Look at me, tell me what’s missing
Oblivious to life I find myself kissing
The very one who makes me real
Strips away all pretenses and makes me feel
Pain and pleasure at insurmountable odds
In a world of Greek goddesses and gods
You are my Olympus forever perfect
No need to wait for a jury’s verdict
Make yourself mortal just one more night
For us to make love before your flight
Back to the heavens where you belong
To remain with me would do you wrong

Questions, unquestioned discoveries, and answers in parable and rhyme…. This collection records a journey starting with a 1960s retrospective and the first man on the moon, moving to a new millennium welcomed in with a terrorist spin, family crises,
