Stay a while and tell me your name
Rest your feet at my doorstep
Many visitors stop each day to share
A part of themselves with me
For I am humanity
Some leave words of joy and praise
Others spew forth venom and negativity
Still others say nothing and prefer to rest
Your thoughts are yours alone
But your actions impact your neighbor
One can choose to remain resilient
Through adversity
Or to implode into an ungrateful,
Solitary figure
Traveling alone in this life
The choice is ours to make
For we are given the freedom
To think for ourselves
And not be blinded
By faith, creed, or elitism
Remember that all are Samaritans
In a world divided by culture, religion, and governments
Travel alone and you will be safe in your despair
Travel with others, and you will experience
The other side of love for humanity

"The other side of love for humanity." Interesting combination of words here, I have to give that some more thought. Nice poem.
