A small glimpse into depression.
The face of darkness is glancing upon me looking over my shoulders waiting for my eyes hoping to see my cries Ol’ dark one… I fear you not too many days running scared hiding within the night accepting your fright I have new weapons now I’ll fight the pain ward off attacks of shame and guilt I’m breaking down the walls I built You may come… over and over again but each time I’m just a little stronger refusing to feed your hunger Kiss me goodbye, depression ol’ friend I bid thee farewell and curse you to hell.

wonderfully poetical about a difficult subject that I too have suffered through at times - and I know how that "ol' dark one" can feel like a suffocating hand, preventing us from doing the very right things we need to help ourselves! But you have it here, the spirit is: not in drugs or treatments but in doing something to affirm our goodness & creativity that will rise again and hopefully that "dark one's" visit will be less and briefer each time.
