A poem of my life each decade with the lord

Poem Artwork

               When I was three

When I was three I knew you loved me

When I was three you were my hero

When I was three you protected me

When I was three you played with me

When I was five times three I challenged thee

When I was five times three I made trouble for thee

When I was twenty three you praised me

When I was twenty three my own came to me

When I was thirty three I had given you three

When I was thirty three I was very happy for me

When I was forty three I Left you

When I was forty three my wife left me

When I was fifty three I came close to thee

When I was fifty three my grandson came to me

When I was fifty three a new love came to me

When I was sixty three I began to prepare for He

When I was sixty three I truly began to see

Only He knows if seventy three is in store for me

And eighty three ninety three or even one hundred and three may be good for me only god knows

I relished this poem like a superbly cooked meal, Tushy.
Liked the way you took me on a tour of your life and relationship with the Lord. I could identify with a lot you wrote in this poem and so your words touched me in a personal way. Keep up the fine writing!

A very interesting and unique way of reviewing your life. At first I wrote the previous sentence, then I looked back and realized it was your life as seen in your relationship with the Lord. That made it more understandable. I love the childlike awareness of God in "You played with me." Nice work, and I'm glad you and He got together again!

Carl,
The older we get the faster time moves on. Let's keep marching for the Lord, whatever time is left for us. Excellent reminder that God is with us always.

Blessings,
~Linda

Tuchy, the years go by so fast it's hard to realize a month has passed & in a flash it's a year. As we get older time appears to go so quickly. I liked the way you describe "time." Enjoyed!

Oh how the years roll around and come and go so quickly. I too look forward to being 10 years older and wonder how I'll be? I am not afraid of old age, but don't like it either. Too many aches and pains. Must bear with it though and only will be here til my good lord takes me home.
