Pearls on a chain
I wonder about why we’re here
what’s the lesson
what’s the reason
so far I draw a blank
come up nought
no logic to this season
if love is the law
then maybe I’m sure
that lessons learnt this time
would be, for me .......
let’s see
love is the only thing worth living or dying for
unconditional, all consuming,
its very rare
but found in your children
in your hearth and home
kith and kin
blood and bone
but what a bond
a wonderful glory
a glorious wonder
to sit and ponder
the love between twin souls
a man and a woman
to have and to hold
a story
of course
a dream a thought
not real
this time only fleeting meetings
like pearls on a chain
to lessen the pain
of living
