           Thinkin Big Ben

The web is filled with promises
to cure our every ill.
Ills we never thought were ills
worm beneath the skin as merchants rub
in and rub in.. Not looking your best?
bold-fonts.  Could it be your boss
is looking for someone looks young?
How are you feeling about mirrors
these days?  Awwww.  We're sorry --
tick-tock, tick-tock, tick. . .  Forgot
to ask.  Is it true you have scars
that make people cringe?  Are wrinkles
spoiling your chances?  Frog spring
to mind?  How about troll?  Don't
look, but that is definitely a spot.
Such an ugly brown.  Lucky for you,
our cream/our lotion/our salve/our stick
doesn't just cover, it erases every trace.
People will think you don't think!  Never
suffered, never allowed yourself to cry.
Whatever.  Tired of promises?   We deliver!
Do the trick, you'll see.  Knocked my socks
off, writes A.B.  Look like a new person,
says C.D.  Money-back guarantee!  Just wrap
the bottle/jar/tube with the unused glop
and ship it back within thirty days. {Please
note that shipping and handling is your
responsibility.  Also, volatile chemicals
contained in the product are forbidden
by Homeland Security.  May be some time
before you hear from us.  (Tick tock, tick
tock, tick. . .)   Remember, you don't need
to look like you have lived. 'Smile lines'
not what people mean.  Click Order before
it's too late.  Tick-tock, tick-tock, tick. . .

[Just an idea,, but perhaps the pushers should
put their clocks where the sun don' shine.].

Forget the alarms, the tocks of clocks, and rock your socks. Big Ben is only as big as you allow him to be and your version, nice pic, is preferable :)!

...you have blown the lid off all of the anti-aging hype...leaving everyone ajar. ...and for this wonderful time bomb you have set off...alarming par excellence... and if I might add...I am anticipating laugh lines here...

LOL...I have a cabinet filled with a hundred varities of "Hope in a jar" and none of them has lived up to their promise of rekindled youthfulness...sigh; but I just read about another potion that will take off unwanted pounds, ten years off of your face and remove all unwanted body hair with just one weekly facial and 3 pills a day..gotta run, don't want to miss the 6 minute special.
Take care,
Sherry

Yes seems to be a lot of promises these days and the more spam we seem to get the more, at least I do anyway, have a tendecnsy to delete that much faster. You would think the advertisers would get the hint wouldn't you.

(((Pea))),

Ya can't do much about aging. Might be able to change the exterior apprearance, one's still. As. Old. Older than yesterday. :) Do I mind? Nope.

I wasn't expected to live past birth: by the Grace of God, here I am, 48 years later. Grateful for every grey hair, maybe not so much the aches and pains, you hear what I'm saying? But I'm a l i v e. Beats pushing up daisies. LOL Besides: I'm claustrophobic. Don't be puttin' me in no box! LOL Wanna be caught up in the air! :)

An excellent diatribe on today's warped image of "perfection," according to society - you got me going, Hun, and for that, I'm thrilled to read and review. You make one thing (exercising the brains). :) Well done!!

(((HUGS))) and love, Karla.

Yes, getting older is a sad part of life, but
it doesn't have to be sad.
Eat right and all that go0d stuff
