Coming Home

I realize each day is a gift from God. I also realize "going home" is a gift as well.

 

COMING HOME
 
The sun cast a shadow
across the floor.
Its day break you see
and I’m alive once more.
When at night
I fall asleep
The moon and the stars do seem to creep.
I hear the crickets and the night
Sounds are near
It’s dark,
I’m alone
But what do I fear?
I’m on my knees again
You see
I thank you dear Lord
For loving me.
You gave me the sun
The stars and the moon,
You love me dear Lord
I’m coming home soon.

I too hear the crickets outside my window at night and fall asleep to their rhythym. This is a good poem. Glad I could read it today. Uplifting too, The nights are sometimes so long, but I know the day always comes again soo.
