At times our friends can let us down. Not though any fault of their own, but their lives "get busy too". I was feeling a little overwhelmed last night. Maybe just all that seems to be going on in my life--all the time. It was then, I realized I needed to stop this whirlwind I am caught up in, and come to the Lord. HE alone is the FRIEND I should be going to for comfort, guidance, and strength. That was when HE reminded me HE is ALWAYS there---HE is NEVER to busy to listen to me! Thank you Lord for EVERYTHING
I’M LONELY LORD I walked along the beach last night Feeling alone and blue No one listens to my cry I don’t know what to do. I’ve prayed for strength But feel so weak I look to friends,You say Turn the other cheek. No stars in the sky That night did I see They’re behind the cloud I prayed dear Lord Can’t you help me now? As I wondered on Lost and all alone I felt Your warmth again I’m not really on my own. I looked again at the brightness Of one lonely star It seemed to guide me On my quest It didn’t seem that far. I continued walking by myself But then I really knew You were beside me from the start Now I know just what to do. I need to pray to You my Lord Pray without ceasing You give me strength in your Grace I feel your love increasing. When I’m on that lonely beach at night No stars do I need to see You were right beside me from the start I know that now, Lord I feel it in my heart. He is the only one you can count on. Others may let you down and make you feel lonely but you're never alone Kathry, He is right beside you all of the time. His hand is reaching out to you, reach back and find contentment.
