THE MASTER PLAN
I looked outside this morning
No sunshine did I see
The trees were swaying in the breeze
The rain was meant to be.
I looked to God above once more
I asked him for some help
I knew without his guidance
He’d surely hear me yelp.
I’ve tried for years to tell him
The plans that I have made
It only stands to reason
Why those plans would sometimes fade.
Now that I am older
My hair has turned snow white
I’ve learned to wait for Him
And the problem works out right.
I need a small reminder
When I close my eyes at night
I sometimes want to tell you
The plan I have in sight.
I’m learning Lord to thank You
For whatever comes my way
I see Your hand around me
I promise not to stray.
It’s hard sometimes to do that
To follow behind you
I think I have the answer
I try to help you too.
So in my humble way dear Lord
I’m asking once again
I need your help this morning
I pray to You my friend.
