.....LORD, TEACH US TO PRAY, AS JOHN ALSO TAUGHT HIS DISCIPLES Luke 11:1

PRAY TODAY

I heard You when You said to me

Take some time to pray

I remember how I felt

Overwhelmed that whole day

 

No time to sit and pray

Deadlines I have to meet

What was I thinking Lord

My Savior, at Your feet.

 

The day marched on ahead of me

I struggled on my own

Not one task could I complete

My skills I try to hone.

 

I felt your Hand by my side

You waited there for me

I knelt and opened up my heart

My tears they fell for Thee.

 

I’ll start each day with you My Lord

The way it’s meant to be

I’ll follow in the path you set

That’s why you set me free.

Great reminder of how we need to stop for the Lord in our daily lives. Things go so much better.

Yes, prayer is total commitment, we cannot think of God talking to an answering machine, He would not like that. Thanks for this wonderful reminder, I need it.
