A "serious" response to the "Nigerian" email scam in this poem about Mrs Patricia Nokrombe of Voinjama Liberia who emails that she wants to give me millions of dollars.
(From a soon to be published book, "Dear or Whatever You Call Yourself Now; From One of Your Carbon Units.

Mrs Patricia Nokrombe of Voinjama, Liberia

Mrs. Patricia Nokrombe of Voinjama, Liberia wants to give me 25 million dollars

And she doesn’t even know me. Me, some guy in Staten Island where most New Yorkers ignore but she didn’t care about that

Mrs. Patrician Nokrombe wants to give me 25 million dollars just for providing a little help and all of my banking information.

Somehow she trusts me more than anyone else and I am humbled by this.

Mrs. Patricia Nokrombe emailed requesting personally to transfer funds and that I should keep this confidential, God bless her little soul

Picking me out of the whole universe and wanting to exalt me,

I imagine that Mrs. Patricia Nokrombe of Voinjama, Liberia is a small faithful woman

She must have prayed and prayed to find the right person,

Looking up to her God every day with hope

And God must have personally whispered my name in her sweet little Liberian ear

Because she emailed me out of billions of possibilities

And last week I also heard from Pastor Isaac Obadiah and The English Lottery who says I am a millionaire and I didn’t even enter

I heard from PayPal twice and a few more times from Nbode Tstesme from Nigeria,

So God must be busy

But none of them move me as much Mrs. Patricia Nokrombe of Voinjama, Liberia

And so I wrote her back

I gave her Pastor Isaac Obadiah’s name and The English Lottery and Pay Pal and Nobode Tsteme’s twice and told her they should all get together, and I asked her to stop praying to God because he keeps whispering my name and just doesn’t know when to stop,

I wrote her this last week and thanked her for her trust and I told her I was overdrawn at the bank and that I even have an overdue library book and so I am not a good investment for a sweet little woman like her.

And now she wants to give me 50 million God bless her soul.
