What I am to you is a close friend
Within your heart and mind
You know I will be by your side
Through all things
Yet, I know I’m closer than most
For you limit those around you
A friendship that most could never
Comprehend
For we exceed the boundaries
That most infringe on friendship
So close that I lay next to you
With my hand over your heart
Listening to the rhythm of your breath
Longing deep within me to be even closer
To you
I know our intimacy runs extremely deep
For to have the comfort of you in my arms
Without the need for more
Is deeper than a physical desire
Closer than most will ever be
