Didn't think I'd encounter You this early in my life,

Didn't know that Your presence would be so evident, so right,

I'm convinced that You're divine, thus You showed me the right one,

You made me believe again when I thought no good was under the sun,

When I laid awake some nights pondering this, that, and the other,

When I couldn't see the light, as I struggled treading this tunnel,

The tunnel of confusion, frustration, and hopelessness,

anger and more frustration, and sometimes loneliness

But You know end from beginning, destiny ensured that we'd meet,

and even through my troubles, the option was never defeat,

I guess deep down I knew that I would experience You one day,

my perseverance not in vain, it would eventually be okay,

Our meeting wasn't like I expected, it was strange in a way,

I can't quite put my finger on the exact time, the exact day,

I just realized life was different, feelings unfamiliar to me,

inspired self-evaluation, and I wondered, "Could it be?"

But that's a question I don't have to ask another day, another minute

God answered my earnest prayer and confirmed He has no limits,

So on my journey to understand You, thus know You more and more,

I express You toward my sunshine, my queen I've been waiting for,

Each day, You teach me wisdom, understanding, humility,

because of Your lasting impact, she's the only one I see,

My world has been ehanced since she's come into my life,

she's added to what's already great; our future looks bright,

So as You afford us this opportunity, may we evolve through time,

May I always be hers, and she always be mine,

May we exhibit Your characteristics, Your patience, Your kindness,

may we recognize Your value, like a rare jewel that's priceless,

May we listen to our hearts, we'll always find You there,

May Your prescence be known when it's time to show we care,

for each other when we face problems that prove to be tough,

thus You reveal another trait, consideration, true enough,

Most of all, may we always remember to put You first,

for everything will fall in place, if for You we thirst,

I want to say thank You for this opportunity,

to experience Your power that's so evident in me,

and when we think about it, direct our hearts up above,

we'll realize the truth: without a doubt, God is love.
