A piece I had written for my event which took place on Jan 15, 2008. A Tribute to Dr. King.

…Continue the Dream…

I am a product of Dr. King. I can feel the inheritance of his voice. To be one of the "little black boys", in his dreams… is my destiny, and my choice. Could you imagine yourself dreaming his dream, nonetheless walking in his shoes…The time is now to Continue his Dream, which path shall you choose?

Will you be that N-word, accepting some crazed virtual reality that says you are meant to be nothing more than the ignorance of that adjective that some fools use as nouns and verbs …Or, will you be that brother and sister that brings the strength of a dream into reality, continue Dr. King’s Dream and conquer our Nations Insanity for racial equality…

Because…

The insanity is killing me, literally, look behind these bars, dream about the grave, death to violence, look at that mother’s favorite picture on the right, yes sir; the photo of her once little bundle of joy, playing with his/her toys, with a smile like mine, and skin like yours…

Sh-Klak-Klak….Boom…!!!!!

There goes a shot in the air!

Can’t you see?

There goes a shot in the air!!!!

Why are you just standing there, run to safety live for me, you know that those whom are ignorant don’t care about you and damn sure don’t care about me. I have the strength of a million men marching, proving with God on my side, I’ll never die… my brother, my sister, Help save a life to change life, start by changing their mind…don’t let this dream die … help me save the second coming of we…The Time is Now!... I choose to…Continue the Dream…

…Because…

I am a product of Dr. King. I can feel the inheritance of his voice. To be one of the "little black boys", in his dreams… is my destiny, and my choice. Could you imagine yourself dreaming his dream, nonetheless walking in his shoes…The time is now to Continue his Dream, which path shall you choose?

To be a slave to your own mind… or will you be Free at last, free at last, thank God almighty WE are Free at last…
