Around this time each year
a familiar cry hits my ear.
"Hey, Mom, can't you say
just one small thing you'd like on Christmas Day"?
Each day and year I think and think,
of things in gifts that they can bring.
What a surprise it's going to be
This time,
My list of things is pure devine.
First, in order I want to have:
Three children's smile implanted on my mind.
Abundance of love and well wishes for all mankind.
Kindness and caring throughout the coming year
and whispers of "I love you, Mom" in my ear.
Just so that you're healthy, secure and without fear,
My list is all here.
So if you'll wrap all these things up and give them each
day...
We'll seal it together with arms full
of love on this Christmas Day.
