The spookiest night of the year fast approaches......and on that note.....

Poem Artwork

She wanders through his dreams
And every now and then he catches a glimpse,
Rare and revealing…of who she really is,
This woman he loves more than life itself!
He adores her; he fears her.
She controls his every thought.
But in the all-consuming darkness of night…
Uncertainty torments him! Is he her one and only?
He’s obsessed with her…
She is of this earth and not! A goddess…
Her stunning face framed in spun gold
Emerald eyes no man could resist!
A body worthy of devout adoration!
She comes to him on dark moonless nights
Promising passion like he’s never known!
Ravaging him, she rides him into the universe
Again and again, until his mind explodes!
And when at last passion is spent
She leaves her mark upon his soul
Taking everything but his sanity!
Drained, exhausted, too weak to resist
He turns his head to the side
And her lust for his lifeblood
Evokes a mutually contented sigh!

I think most men would be pleased with that, Anna. A seductive piece that builds to its climax. Well done.

I especially loved the line:
'Ravaging him ,she rides him into the universe'
this is a fast moving passionate and very 'hot' poem.
Best wishes always

WOW! This poem rocks, Annabel. Sensuality that brings one almost into the realm of terror, literally sucking the lifeblood out of this poor, passion driven man! So very well told that you feel as if you are there witnessing this tale of unknown passion. Great write!!

This sounds like a vacillating dream shifting from passion to horror from beauty to despair, from love to the fear of love.
Very good poem, ol' pal, Anna.
