To enjoy the beautiful show that the universe put on each night I must be in a "special' place. What about my brothers and sisters who can't be in those special place.
A Question for Me
Technology, a good thing you will say
And I must admit that in many instances I must concur
Yet I cannot but reflect on the simple things sacrifice
Gone, forgotten my most of us
All in the name of pro- gress
****
When my body was new and life afforded simple fun
I would lie on my back at the setting of the sun
And be amazed and carried away by the scene that played out before my youthful eyes
There in the cloudless sky were billions
No trillions of stars beckoning to me
Wouldn’t you like to join us they would ask my eager mind
Yes yes I would answer without a moments delay
And with laughter, anticipation and wonder I would float to join them in the sky
****
The Moon with her big round face would look at me and smile
She would ask me where in the universe I would like to go
Then off we would go to all the wondrous places
My sister Moon and me
Me flying on the wings of a pearly White Dove
Always besides us the brightest star in the sky
You guessed it non other than the Morning Star
****
Now as the sun sets and the Moon yarns waiting for me to look up
I very rarely lie on my back and watch the nightly show
When I do look up a sadness comes to my heart
The stars appear scares and the Sister Moon seem to have a frown on her beautiful round face
I am left to wonder and contemplate
Is it worth it
