You are in my thoughts as I drift off to sleep at night
Much like the arms of tender parent
Getting me all tucked in for sleep
When I awake in the morning light
Like the sun you rise above my horizon to help me greet the new day
In all the in between moments of my day like a shadow with me you go
My constant companion
My shadow and me
I keep telling myself that one of these days
One morning or maybe on a warm afternoon
It will no longer be as it is
I will open my eyes and you will no longer be there
But for now here we are as we go off to lunch
My constant companion
My shadow and me

Robin Ouzman Hislop's poetry is certainly in dialogue with some of the key architects of the 'poetics of indeterminacy' – both the Modernist strands represented by the likes of Beckett and Stein, and the postmodernist strands represented, initially,
In the Whirlwind is a poetic storm that frees history from the cages of corruption and puts it in the hands of everyday people. Words are weaved into a new fashion statement that has nothing to do with runways but everything to do with projects!
