To the Prince Of Darkness Ed Drac (Halloween Challenge)

Prince of Darkness
with crimson stained lips
that entice and lore

Kisses that burn with the promise
of Star-filled nights,
and making love
within the crevices of the moon.

Verse that entrances my mind
and awakens veiled yearnings.

I am sorry,
but your request
I must deny.

You see,
I dance to the sacred rhythms of unity
with the One who will devote his
desires solely to me.

Lust commingled with purity.

Spirits entwined through
transference,
forming a pearl nuzzled within the
womb of complexities,
resting on plates suspended with golden chains,
gleaming in all its majesty.

The lullaby of an eternal dream,
one thousand nights of ascension.

Death upon death,
and rise again,
when the moon cast its tranquil glow,
and twin souls dine on each other's veins.

I really enjoyed this one, Maria; nicely conveyed Gothic imagery, true Romanticism and a wonderful last stanza..

Very few are gifted enough to say "No thank you" in such a way. Beautiful imagery resonates throughout this write.

"Kisses that burn with the promise
of Star-filled nights,
and making love
within the crevices of the moon."

What a delightful concept, burning kisses and moon-coldness, such a temptation...

But then there's this:

Spirits entwined through
transference,
forming a pearl nuzzled within the
womb of complexities,
resting on plates suspended with golden chains,
gleaming in all its majesty.

Choices, choices...

Wonderful tapestry of words, Maria! You are very gifted!

What an elegant refusal. I sense pearls and Chanel. Now Alex up there just might be in for some trouble for that "cheap wine" comment...hehehe, am I starting trouble?

This is fantastic Maria
and although I bow my head in sorrow
I must rejoice that you have told Drac to bug off in the most elegant way imaginable

But my eyes will always be on your neck
